Which is more frustrating — LiveJournal being slow as hell, or the fact that 75% of the blogs I read are hosted there?
Got to spend Saturday afternoon catching up with Chuck and watching him buy a $2K Dell laptop — the next best thing to getting one myself. 
My undies are in a very tight wad waiting for my new gizmo to arrive (link and no, not the blonde!) this week. It’s a phone + Microsoft PocketPC + BlueTooth (hello wireless headset & GPS navigation) + digital camera all slammed into a box that’s only a few millimeters taller than an iPOD. (drool)
None of the four-legged critters have knocked over the Christmas tree yet!
SEVERELY strained my right neck/shoulder yesterday roughhousing with JAK in the park by our house. Score: 34 year old man: 0, 9 year old dog: 1
Coincidence or not, but I start the week in severe pain just as our friend Joe, who had severe back pain last week (the kind where all you do is lay on your living room floor), started to feel a lot better. heh heh
When we first got JAK, we were amazed because he would never walk in the kitchen because the floor was vinyl. Months later, the vinyl is gone and now we know why Michelle trained JAK not to be in the kitchen.
I love Bartók. Well, OK — any classical music that has lots of percussion and loud brass works for me, but Bartók is the only name that I can remember.
Wikipedia (link) is (for me) quickly eplacing Google for answering questions like “what is xxxxxxxx”. It’s also amazing to watch Rico get lost in it for hours. Ask him any question about baby hedgehogs or how cats taste. Where’s my FireFox Wikipedia extension, damnit!
I have 30 days left to take 4 MCSE exams that I’ve known about for the last 8 months.
Is it bad to hope that the LaSalle Bank Building (that’s currently on fire downtown Chicago) burns to the ground? Nobody needs to get hurt, but the building really needs to come down. Gesh, and I thought I was over my anger towards them for having froze my checking account for two full weeks starting 12/23/00 because my work deposited my monthly paycheck + a Christmas bonus and the amount looked unusually high. Hint to banks: if a transaction looks suspicious, go ahead and investigate it, but FREEZING an account before a huge holiday when you’re out of the office for the next five days is shitty.
