No, not the Star Trek TOS episode…
So it’s tradition at Scott’s parents that Christmas Day is spent at Scott’s cousins house. I wasn’t too thrilled about the 30-minute drive from BFE PA to BFE NJ, but the food was great, the people were cool, the house looked like a Crate & Barrel bomb had gone off in it, and they had a very awesome dog. Say hi to Skunk. (Who, by the way, was a Hurricane Katrina rescue!)

Skunk was the most well behaved dog EVER (ever ever!) and the perfect size (not too big, not too small). For Scott, it was love at first sight.

After the holidays, Scott did some research on Skunk’s make and model (which happened to be border collie + long-haired lab), and after several failed attempts of snagging such a creature from any SPCA within a day’s drive of here, he tracked down this mole-like create that he assures me will grow into a dog very similar to that Skunk fellow above. Apparently it needs a few more weeks with the birth-giver, after which Scott becomes the proud foster parent.

So yay for our house with (soon to be) 3 dogs and 2.75 cats! ![]()
Nice zoo you have going on there….aren’t you at the limit without a formal wild kingdom or zoo permit hehehe. I miss having pets!
What a cute puppie! I do like dogs a lot, but I’m not home early enough every day to prevent an accident, and I don’t think Mr. “King
of the castle” Beans would put up with an Odie in the house, so no puppies for me.
What kind of dog are you? I’m a Shetland sheep dog, according to http://www.gone2thedogs.com - select ‘game’ from the left side menu bar, answer the simple questions.
According to Gone2TheDogs I’m a Welsh Corgi…
Oh, wow — that was fun.
I’m an Irish Setter (Big Red). Not sure what the Big Red part’s all about .. that’s usually what people call Scotimus.
I love Corgies. Wolfman has one, but I’m not sure what kind.
Jerry (the gray cat from the Portland SPCA) is being a real dick lately. He hisses and swipes at EVERYTHING. I’m not sure what to do with him, other than let him outside (which is where he prefers). It’s just been so cold lately that he can’t go outside, so he’s been really throwing some tantrums. Grrrrrrr
Awww poor Jerry…..Pack his bags and send him my way
Fuck that “poor jerry” bullshit. His bitch ass needs to get dropped off at the SPCA.
Stryder is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi (pointery ears and no tail)
The Cardigan Welsh Corgi has a tail and rounder and bigger ears…
Re: Irish Setter, before I played the game, Zorn (my beloved bartender) asked what dog I thought I was, and I said “Irish Setter” or “Golden Retriever” !
Instead, I’m a Lassie.
Oh my the new puppy is way way way cute. Blue eyes (or is that an effect of red-eye removal?). Does she have a name yet?
Zorn? Eh? More details, please.
Lassie? I can see that. hehehe
Her name is Callie. She’s pretty awesome, although it’s going to take a lot of readjusting around the house. (i.e. me having to wake my happy ass up before 8AM on workdays)
Zorn is actually his name - full name is Zorn Matson. He’s the bartender/manager at Thatch - the new Tiki bar that opened last year. It’s on the way home from work, and we go most Wednesday nights. I drink what ever Zorn makes for me, he and I have very similar-weird-drink tastes. It’s hard to explain just how cool Zorn is - he’s an artist-photographer, he knows about underground tunnels in Portland, his girlfriend owns a floral shop in Lake Oswego, and she’s hysterically funny, as in a David Sedaris funny way. I’ll have to see if i have some pictures of Thath with Zorn in them. If not, I’ll take some tomorrow.
