It’s sooooo quiet!

The new HVAC install yesterday was most excellent (yay for the ‘prison break’ cute install team), and I’m now the proud owner of one very quiet, very large (oye) Trane system (XL16i heat pump + variable-speed air handler + CleanEffects air cleaner) and $6800 of new debt. 
So no more having to change air filters or getting blasted with cold air for two minutes after the heater kicks on. Yay x 100!

So do you have a gas furnace portion, or what happens when it is colder than the heat pump can handle?
BTW You linked to the XL16i AC not the heat pump… Hopefully you really got the heat pump version.

Michael, it has heat strips for when it gets super-super cold outside. Statistically, that happens only a few times a year out here. Which is good, because electric heat ain’t cheap.
