62 mph wind gusts and lots of rain last Thursday/Friday, huh?
Sounds *exactly* like the weather here on the day that we moved. I guess our area is somewhat used to it as the power outages were minimal (at least compared to ya’ll).
Nothing like driving a 26′ U-Haul with a standard transmission and a broken defrost on a day like that. ![]()
It wasn’t so bad at our house, and our power never went out. (It did flicker a couple times.)
Not much tree damage here, but we saw a big tree a couple blocks away the fell and just took the gutters off a house. Just inches from landing right on it, boy were they lucky.
Yeah, for the first time ever, I own trees. I’m a little nervous about how well they’ll do during a big storm, but since they faired well during the nor’easter when we moved in, I shouldn’t worry so much.
Suck it up mister. Don’t blame the piece of crap truck! It can’t help that it should have been sent to the Uhaul place in the sky but instead because they’re too cheap to junk it it’s forced to be used. Sorry that you had a crappy day to move on. If you’d move to Houston, it would have been nicer weather.
Oh, and you could have hired some Mexicans to help you move for like 5 bucks.
