Yay for random Friday road trips planned at the last minute. (Double yay for inexpensive Holiday Inn rooms with free broadband!)

Hey, down here “in the South” at StarBucks, Black Bottom Cupcakes are called Chocolate Cream Cheese Muffins. Wow.
So we made it to the Apple store at Crabtree Mall’s grand opening — 5 minutes too late to get a free t-shirt. Frack. The place was packed (as expected), but what was cool is that employees had PDAs and could “ring you up” (provided you were paying with plastic) on the stop, preventing what appeared to be a 20+ minute wait at the back registers. Spiffy.
Hotel shower had mega water pressure. I LOVE WATER PRESSURE. Almost made up for the bathroom not having a fan.
