eBay takes care of me again. :)

$1550.01 (well, minus $45 for PayPay and eBay posting fees) for my PowerBook. Yay!
I hope the winner gets as much fun out of it as I did. It’s a very sweet rig!
I’m impressed with eBay. Anytime I’ve needed to sell something, it’s always come thru — although lately, it’s taken until the last minute of the auction.

That’s how sniping works! It doesn’t come in till the last minute.
I win auctions by paying paying too much for them.
Don’t forget the $42.00 to pack, insure and ship the bitch !
But how much more than the $1550.01 did he charge for shipping?
97 cents per ounce, plus a handling fee. (You know about handling fees, don’t you? Handling fees are what prostitutes and cowboys charge.)

WTH is 97 cents per ounce????
I just recently got back into Ebay to get some updated paintball equipment.
First auction I won… I got scammed… ended up costing me about $18 dollars and grief.
I won a brand new HP tank (lists for $220). I won it at $170 with $10 dollars shipping… The guy sent me a PayPal invoice… I attempted to pay but got an error. He immediately sends me an email saying his PayPal account is “down” and to send him a cashier’s check… So I go and pay $3 dollars for a cashier’s check..put it in the mail the same day. I send him an email that it is on the way…. no reply. So I wait…. still no reply.
Then I notice that the same tank from the same guy has been relisted…
I end up tracking down his phone number and call his house… get his mom…who hangs up on me when I tell her what was going on…
I then cancel the check ($15 dollar fee and they hold the funds for 90 days!!).
He finally emailed me a few days later saying he relisted it cause I would not pay.. ( he relisted within 9 hours of me winning the auction… and after I immediately agreed to pay….).
I did the whole dispute thing with ebay but to no avail. Since then he has received about 5 negative feedbacks in a row from scamming people….
PS - I put his phone number on every telemarketer site I could fine… I hope he enjoys the phone calls….. tee hee
Wow. Did those folks have like mega good feedback, or were they pretty new sellers?
They had about 1200 feedback… of which about 20 were bad…. but in the last couple of weeks… almost 95% have gone bad…. people having the same issue I had (after sending payment..item gets relisted..) or receiving broken stuff.
I forgot to mention that he had to sell it for less the second time he listed it (about $40 less…). If he sent it at all to the person than won… I never saw the winner leave feedback…
Last thing… I rechecked … he had 154 feedbacks… of which… he now has 20+ negative..
Oh tay… I’ve stopped beating the dead horse…
I’m surprised eBay hasn’t kicked him off yet.
