The Apple Product Cycle

His blog entry here is so on-the-money. A quick check of the forums puts Apple’s new MacBook Pro is currently in the “Whiny, artistic types post lengthy diatribes about how this terrible design flaw has made the device unusable and scarred them emotionally” phase.
I also dig his bio:
The author has been an Apple user since 1984. During that time, he has owned an Apple IIe, an Apple IIgs, a Mac SE/30, a Mac Quadra 660AV, a PowerComputing PowerCenter 150, and a Power Mac G3/350 (Blue & White). He currently uses a Dual 2.0GHz PowerMac G5 and a 12″ PowerBook G4. In spite of his loyalty to the platform, he finds most “Mac people” to be tiresome and annoying. He is pretty sure that if he had to attend WWDC or Macworld, he would wind up slapping the shit out of a bunch of people.
Tiresome and annoying. Hmmmmmmm That makes one think.
I had the Apple IIE… I miss that thing…
PS - We have a Multimedia Dept here that I support… all high end MACS with huge Plasma Screen or LCD monitors…
Myself and my staff pretty much know nothing about them (MACs)… everytime they break… its 1-800-FIXAMAC… (i.e. - call the vendor…)
What are people complaing about on the MacBook Pro?

We have a bunch of Macs here that our graphic design folks use. They know better than to call the helpdesk if they have a problem.
I will take , Apple Pro Care for $99.00 Alex.
Or in your case, “I’ll take the Apple Care Pro for $50, or whatever it is after I’m doing being ‘hooked up’ by the Apple Guy”.
