It’s a grumpy morning…

OK, I really hate when “Kristin” is working drive-thru at the Hardee’s by us because when you pull up to the speaker to place your order, she answers by singing “It’s a beauuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful moooooooooorning, This is Kristin.” Then there’s a pause, and whoever else is helping her that morning pipes in with “and xxxxxx” (where xxxxx is their name). I assume the pause is where Kristin is shooting that person a dirty look because they obviously don’t want to be co-starting in her one-speaker show. That makes me grumpy.
Brokeback Mountain also made me grumpy. I can’t believe I had to pee (!!) the whole time but held it because I didn’t want to miss the part where the movie suddenly got good. I mean, the first 20 minutes of RENT (a movie that I ended up loving) really blew, so there had to be hope for this one. Not so much. Oh, and the people in the theater bawling… Yes, bawling. Lord. This movie did nothing for me in the emotions department, and I’m the guy who left The Chronicles of Narnia with moist eyes.
Jason2 kicked ass on a “your mom and sister are flying down from Chicago on the 21st to buy your car, so you have until then to learn how to drive manual-transmission Jeep otherwise you’re walking to work” lesson he got with Scott and I yesterday.
Yes I must agree that I was incredibly unimpressed with Brokeback Mountain. I kept waiting for that moment where I would think it was a great movie, and it never came. Oh well….. Dalan used to say I was an un-emotional robot, maybe I’ve returned to my old ways……
Yes Rico did quite well with the Jeep. Give him a week or so and it’ll be old hat to him.
hardee’s?
*cough*
As if there’s any other place to get a honest-to-goodness from-scratch biscuit around here.
Once upon a time Mcdonald’s fresh made biscuits rocked. But that was years and years ago….
