Special Weather Statement

..near record heat is expected over central… Southern and eastern Virginia… interior northeast North Carolina and the lower Maryland Eastern Shore Monday through Wednesday…
Hot and humid weather currently in the central United States… will build into our region Monday through Wednesday. Temperatures Monday and Tuesday will climb to from the upper 90s to around 100 over central… southern and eastern Virginia… and interior northeast North Carolina… and the mid to upper 90s over the lower Maryland Eastern Shore. Temperatures on the coast will climb into the lower 90s. Temperatures Wednesday will be in the mid to upper 90s as a weak cold front approaches from the northwest.
The combination of heat and humidity Monday through Wednesday… could produce heat indices around or above 110 over inland areas… and up to 105 along the coast. If this occurs… expect heat advisories or excessive heat warnings to be issued… as appropriate… as the event approaches.
To avoid heat related illnesses… drink plenty of fluids… stay out of the direct sunlight… and check up on relatives and neighbors. Stay in an air conditioned room if possible. Stay out of direct sunlight… and minimize the amount of strenuous activity done outdoors.
Now I know I blogged about how I liked the hot summers out here, but damnnnnnnnn, a little moderation please?!?!
