Weekend Potpourri
Oct 24th, 2004 by Jason
Man, this weekend feels like it needs its own weekend. Odd, considering I really didn’t do all that much.
Ian moved in, so helped him get his TiVo/entertainment center setup, ran all across creation tracking down a DVD for a coworkers birthday present, and … that’s about it.
Did 10 straight days of 20 carbs or less and dropped 8 pounds. I plateau’ed, so took the weekend off and caught up on all of the food that I’d been craving, and … it all sucked. None of it seemed worth it, which is a mindset I pray that I can keep! The plan this week is to add complex carbs back into the diet and hit the gym after work Mon-Fri. If Jason has the weekend off, I think my treat will be a Short Pump + Chipotle trip, which actually is a treat for both of us.
Joe drove by the Scope tonight (en route to his Sunday night coffee debriefing) and saw that Wanda Sykes will be in town on January 6th. Who’ll be joining us there? LOL
Stopped by Kellie’s house to hangout for awhile tonight and walked right into the middle of a grown woman cat fight. It was fascinating! Basically, a girlfriend of Kellie’s introduced her to a cute/cool guy. Kellie and said cute/cool guy emailed a bit last week, and spoke on the phone a couple of times. While Kellie was in Atlantic City this weekend winning $82, the girlfriend who introduced them got dumped out of her own relationship and pretty much bogarted cute/cool guy under the pretense of “Kellie, you didn’t really act like you were interested in him”. Wow. First we have straight guys dressing like us, and now we have straight women manipulating perfectly fine friendships like us — just to get a piece. How quick they learn.
