I’m so pooooooped.

Knocked two major things off the “to do” list this weekend! yay
First is some painting — walls downstairs, the stairway, the hallway, and in the inside of the front door. Technically the walls downstairs aren’t done as we weren’t sure if the red color we wanted to use by the fireplace would work, so I only painted one of those two walls. Doesn’t look half bad, so will do the other (2-story, groan) wall this week. Lots of details left to touch up, I still am not sure the best way to go about turning the stained trim into high-gloss bright white, and I’m pretty sure I’m hiring someone to do the ceiling.

More Pictures Here (inc. some gratuitous puppy pics)
Got a bunch of yardwork done today too!
So far I’m loving my Stihl KombiSystem. It’s basically a gas weedwhacker-style engine that has a bunch of tools that pop on the end. I’ve got the weedwhacker, edger, pole saw, and cultivator tools. Used the cultivator to rip up the front garden today, yanking out the roots and crap from bushes that went away years ago. It used to suck to plant up front because you couldn’t dig more than 2″ before you hit roots. That’s no longer a problem.
Got to weedwhack too. I know this isn’t exciting to most of you, but 2-stroke gas engines and I don’t have the best relationship, so the fact I’ve been able to successfully work this Stihl stuff excites me.

Good work!
Yeah, I bought a Troy-Built 2-stroke multi tool thingey myself about 2 years ago. The best investment I ever made in yard tools (well that and the $900 lawn mower I bought…another story). One of the best attachments for mine is the leaf blower attachment. Works great cleaning up grass and leaves and such….
