10% humidity heh. More like 50%. It got past a hundred two or three weeks ago. We got 2 days of fantastic thunder and lightening storms out of that. Huge ground to cloud bolts. Two people got struck by it, at the same time! Youch!

Check out Squid's pictures: http://fivezerothree.com/

The ones at three am on July 2nd or 3rd about blew us out of bed. The house was pummeled with hail, and being that our roof is a giant tin can, you can imagine what it sounded like. It was fun.

BTW Michael *really* likes Chipotle. We ate there again tonight.

YAY! :)

I didn't know you could try different meats in the tacos! That's so what I'm getting next time.

I love the guac. Just not on the tacos. The one out here overdoes it. While it's a bang for your buck, it's like you're eating an avocado sandwich. Blech!

Since when did PDX get thunderstorms?!?! That bumps it higher up on the cities I'll consider once this area goes under water (with global warming and all). I chuckle at the thought of your 90'F day with 10% humidity. ;)

Uh, because there's no Sushi in the food court.

We made it to Chipotle last weekend. The carne asada was ok, but I really liked the Carnitas with the medium hot red sauce. I tried three different meats in soft tacos. The guacamole was pretty good too.

Oh and as we got there, another thunderstorm broke out. In your honor, I assume! We were going to eat outside, but instead, we got to freeze inside. (It was a 90+ degree day.)

Oh, well, .. if it's outside, and you work in a building with a perfectly fine food court, ... why ever leave for lunch?! :)

It's not in the same building, but in the same general area of buildings - I actually have to go outside (you know, where the ultra-violet rays burn your skin) to get there. We're on 14th and Halsey (sorta) and it's on 7th and Weidler. It's across the stree from KFC and Taco Bell. It's probably a 5 minute walk. (The Lloyd Center area spans the space from 15th to 7th East-West, and from Holladay to Broadway, South-North.)

Wait, ... what?!

Are you saying that there is one inside of the building in which you work, but you've never gone?!?!?! Say it's not so!?!

If you've never been, it's like Subway, but with mexican food. i.e. you get "burrito artists" instead of "sandwich artists", where you tell them exactly what you'd like on your stuff as you shuffle down the line towards the cash register.

In our area, Chipotle has some competition -- Salsa Rita and Moe's have been here for years, which surprised me that Chipotle took so long to get here. IMO, the ingredients that Chipotle uses taste so much better than the competition. For example, their rice has fresh cilantro and lime in it, and they use lime when they make their chips. They're always grilling and chopping something up fresh. And their carne asada actually tastes (as in "has flavor"), like that place on 23rd I used to love for its nachos. Salsa Rita and Moe's meats are all bland to me.

I usually get the carne asada burrito with cheese, sour cream, guac, and pico. That, plus some chips + salsa and a drink = one fat, dumb and happy me.

Before they opened this one at Town Center, the closest one was in Richmond (about 90 miles away), so it was a fun treat when we went to the mall out there.

The first time I went to a Chipotle was when Jason2 and I went to Dupont Circle in DC a few years ago. I've been in love ever since. Now that it's local, I'm sure it'll eventually become blah, but until then, I'm stoked. :)
