I won't tell you what I used to measure it... baa haa But it did take care of the huge branch that was above our house... Lori and I heard a loud boom.. the next day a 20 foot branch is laying just in front of the cars in the drive way up against the house (no damage that I could fine luckily...) We got about 3 inches..
