OK, so the slipcover on the couch has needed a vicious whirl through the washing machine for about two months now, but after hearing the screaming that Jason2 and the Scotimus did when they originally put it on, I figured I (being a mere mortal) had zero chances in hell of accomplishing this by myself. Well, to be fair, I was sure I could remove the cover and wash it, but as for it going back on so that the couch still looked like a couch when I was done… not so much.
Turns out the piece that covers the bottom cushions (which, happily enough, was the part of the cover that needed de-dogifying the most) is actually a separate piece that required very little effort to remove/clean/reinstall. 
Sweet! I should clean more often! LOL
