Things to remember…

When the neighbors outdoor beagle is howling because they’re not giving him any attention, tossing a rawhide bone his way shuts him up.
When the directions to backwash your pool’s sand filter tell you to “(a) put the filter in bypass mode for 60 seconds, (b) turn the pump off for 10 seconds, (c) repeat three times”, if you wander off 20 minutes during during (a) because you got bored, you shouldn’t be surprised to see that your lawn is very wet and your pool has a lot less water in it when you finally remember what you were doing before you wandered off.
If you consistently take a swim before bedtime, the spider that likes to build a web across the top of the pool ladder will generally clue in around the 3rd night and start building his web later.
If there’s only a 20% chance of rain on the night that you take your Jeep to the bar with its top down, it’s going to start raining at the exact time that running out to put your top up will make you have to wait in line 15 minutes to get back in.
Sometimes spending some time with good friends you haven’t seen in awhile is all you need to break you out of a funk.
The more you know… (insert shooting star here)
