Scott and I saw Stardust last night. For some stupid reason that probably made sense to me at the time, I thought it was going to be another movie completely. Only took me 10 minutes into the movie to figure out my mistake.
Anywho, I loved it. LOVED IT. LOOOOOOVVVEEEED IT. Loved the story, loved the campy humor, loved the cast, loved the visual effects, loved the soundtrack. Gah! DID I MENTION I LOVED IT!
Jason2 read a review that called this movie “Shrek for Adults” (or something to that point). Pretty damn close! Scott called it a “chick-flick in hiding”, but to him, anything with a happy ending is a chick-flick. heh Whatever you want to call it, … I LOVED IT. lol

That was fun!
After seeing your post, we decided to see this movie - and we decided to go to a ‘new’ type of theater - one that shows first run movies, in first class seating, and is for 21 and over.

We sat in the middle of the front row of one of the “Living Room Theaters” and it was worth it. Wine-beer-dinner service at your seat. Footstools to prop your legs up on. Perfect HD Digital picture - and no possibility of big hair in your way. Good sound. And oddly enough, they had a musician play during the wait before the previews started.
Good movie - one that I’d like to see again.
“It’s alright Captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie.”
I’m. So. Jealous. That theater looks AWESOME.
We have a chain down here called “Cinema Cafe”, but with the exception of two of their locations, their movies are always 6-months behind. And I swear that they use a 40-watt bulb to power their projector. The food’s pretty horrible, too. They don’t even pop their own popcorn — it comes from a huge Sysco Foods bag.
I’d DIE to get “first class” seating, in a very nice chair, in a theatre with HD digital. droooooooool That guy should franchise in this area — IMMEDIATELY!
p.s. Glad you guys liked it. I have rather, ummmm, “Thorn-like” taste. (Translation: half the stuff I get excited about nobody else quite gets, so I”m always a little hesitant to tell people when I like stuff…)
