Ahoy from Praha!
May 6th, 2007 by Jason
In Czech, ahoy means hello, and Praha is what they call Prague. Who knew?
So I’m working on uploading the Munich pictures to my flickr space. Our asshat hotel there used a WiFi provider (SwissCom) that wanted $16/hr for Internet access, and even that had a 150mb quota attached to it, so needless to say, we’ve been unplugged for the last few days.
Now we’re in Prague and our hotel here has free Internet, but its capped at 256Kb/256Kb, so this picture uploading crap is slow going…
Update: after Prague, we went to Berlin, where we had no Internet at all (the hotels wireless was broken). Now we’re back in Munich again and we have no problem paying $52.70 a day to get all three of us connected again. What can I say? It’s a hard habit to break.
