Addictions by Scotimus

After 6 years of protestething too much, I broke down and started watching the first season of ‘24′. 10 minutes into the first episode, I was freaking hooked. Like “I know I have to work tomorrow, but it’s only 1Am — I can watch two more episodes and still be quasi-functional by 9AM tomorrow” hooked. For the record, Scott’s been yelling at me since he’s known me that the show’s really good, but even knowing that all of the good guys in 24 use Macs, it wasn’t until 24 went Jericho that I couldn’t resist anymore. (And speaking of shows “going” places, what’s up with Ugly Betty going The Crying Game last week?)
So as if me watching ‘24′ wasn’t bizarroland enough, Jason2 Boot Camp‘ed his new MacBook Pro so he could spend quality time with Scott in City of Heroes, or as I like to call it, “Remember when I had a boyfriend and a cool roommate?”. ![]()
On a house note, I will NEVER EVER (!!!!111!) buy a house again that has wallpaper in it. The shit should be illegal. I honestly think that re-drywalling our dining room would have been faster and easier than scoring/Dif’ing/scraping the stuff the previous owners left on the walls. ![]()
24 ROCKs!!!
Yeah, and this is the WORST time of the year for me to be finding this out.
I have like three major work “personal goal”-related projects that I need to poop out over the next week or two in order get a decent bonus this year.
And all I want to do is watch 24.
heh
woohoo 24 is the shit!!! wait until season 4 and 5
You are right, wallpaper should be illegal.
The only thing I found that worked (and this was at the old house) was wallwik http://www.wallwik.com/
We had wall paper - 4 layers, and that had been painted on top of it. Impossible with anything but wallwik. And the only trick with it was making sure you kept it wet long enough, and then the paper just fell off in big soggy wet sheets.
The only trick they didn’t tell me was - put febreeze in the water. There was a smoker in the house 2 paper layers deep, and the smell that came from that damp wall paper was, really really yucky. Febreeze killed the smell.
