Going to try a New Years mantra instead of a New Years resolution:
“I want a steady, never-ending, constantly-unfolding path of new ideas and adventures”.

Going to try a New Years mantra instead of a New Years resolution:
“I want a steady, never-ending, constantly-unfolding path of new ideas and adventures”.
Lori and I are committed to selling our house and buying a new one (better constructed) in the Burg somewhere… so my mantra is “Do not go insane during the selling and buying stuff!!!”
Since I know you two are recently aware of that fun process!!
It will probably take us a year to sell.. fun fun.. and I’ll lose my sweet 4.75% mortgage rate..
CONGRATS!!!
If it helps any, the only real insanity we ran into was with FSBO’ing the new house, and that was only because the guy selling it to us had a drop-dead closing date he had to do it by (because he had to use the money from his house to close on another deal he lined up, out-of-state) and I wasn’t sure if we’d make it. But we did, against what EVERYONE (our mortgage company, our lawyers, etc) thought possible.
4.75% mortgage? Oye. I’m sorry for your loss!

Are you going to use an agent? If so, do you have one lined up already?
Using Lori’s Aunt again…
Decided this weekend to pull the contract on the new house but to still put our house on the market…
I might be job shopping in a few months (long story..company being sold…) so I decided it might be wise to not have a bigger mortgage payment if I can avoid it…
