Rainy holiday weekend?

Seems like every NOAA update pushes the storm further to the east of us (I forget which side of a hurricane has the most wind…), but still looks like it could be an interesting Friday night/Saturday morning!
My hurricane checklist, you ask? 1) Stock up on Heffeweissen 2) Find the sleeping bag so if we’re out of power for more than 12 hours I can sleep in the A/C’ed data center at work. That about covers it. 
Dont forget the Blue Moon!

4-12 inches of rain expected.
Governor just declared a state of emergency.
Expected local wind speeds keep going up every time NOAA does an update.

Local weathermen are a little worried because NOAA hasn’t released the updates from the hurricane hunter plane for over an hour. They say that’s really odd and are guessing that this is likely to become a hurricane again before hitting NC.
