So I’m selling my PowerBook on eBay, and part of any auction is answering the strange questions that only eBay folks can think of.
Got a question this morning from a user asking if my PB was similiar to the one listed in another auction, and she gives the link to the other auction. The link in no way, shape or form looks like an eBay link. Matter of fact, it ends in .FR, so I’m assuming it’s some French auction site, but would be more than happy to check out that auction. Click on the link and it pops up an eBay “please login page”. Weird. Am I being redirected? So I type in my password and it takes me to a page that looks like an eBay auction for a camera. I’m thinking “where’s the PB I’m looking for?!?!” Then it all clicks.
I fell for a phishing scheme. LAME LAME LAME So off to eBay I flew to change my password. UGH! :angry:
hahaha. they got you!!!! Sneaky fuckers….. I fell for the same thing with paypal about a year ago. but you already knew I was special
