Oh, and the three things we downloaded yesterday are WMV, which Toast can’t convert to video DVD. !@#% Back to Google. LOL
the stuff on the dvd worked fine for me. I had to download a new codec for the Grey’s Anatomy episode though, but after that it worked fine.
I’ll try Windows Media Player on Ian’s computer to see if can burn those more interesting WMV’s to a Video DVD.
I know there’s a way to do that from OS X, but I have to convert the files from WMV into something more universal first. Blah. LOL
Isn’t that what Virtual PC is for?
There goes our bandwidth, WE have a media center, and an X-box 360, which means it’s way to easy to watch this, uh, stuff, on the BIG screen.
I’m not sure that you would really want to watch all of that stuff that big.

Has anyone heard that some TV anchors are dreading HDTV because it shows their lines and wrinkles more? Gesh. HD = vanitity to the next level. LOL
Actually I suspect it would be larger than life…
And yes, I have heard that both anchors and porn ‘actors’ are not that thrilled with the idea of everyone being able to see every little detail.
I’ll bring a tape measure, to see if it’s ‘larger’.
Well, on close-up shots, I’m quite sure it’s larger, but in a zoomed out shot on a huge TV, it’s probably more “normal size”. LOL
So you guys use the XBOX to play video from the computer onto the TV? Works well?
We just got the Xbox 360 and haven’t really played much video with it, but it is an HD source. We got a cheap Windows Media Center a while ago, so now I can watch it in the theater.. I never bought the extra software for the original Xbox to make it work with Media Center…
From the little we used it, it seems to work just fine. I’ll let you know more as we get time to use it more.
I’d definately like to hear more, and … glad it’s not just me that’s running into time constraints trying to get everything done lately. LOL
(And why does ‘lately’ seem to be another way of saying “as far back as I can remember?”) LOL
Well, this has been an interesting weekend.
Bigger than life size. 6 feet is WAY WAY bigger than life size. We had to do some converting on some of the files, as XBox 360 only support certain formats, but what it supports works great, and the converting just takes time, and works fine afterwards. I highly recommend it as a simple and easy solution.
Aside from the conversion issue, it worked great, and we didn’t get dressed until it was time to go out and get dinner tonight.
We think that oatmeal cookies might have had something to do with the the not getting dressed, too. . . .
