Lunches and More…

I’m proud that I not only got my happy ass out of bed at 6:30AM every day this week (Mon-Fri), but also got it to the gym for 30 minutes of cardio. I’m not so proud that my motivation was from seeing that I weighed 10 lbs more than I thought I did … putting me 2.5 pounds from my mental “oh HELL no” weight.
Brown-bagged my lunch Mon-Wed, saving ~$10/day and at least a thousand calories. Had lunch out with Kellie on Thursday (at Atlas) and Jason on Friday (Shrimp Bisque day at Pargo’s — hello!). They both start new jobs on Monday in downtown Norfolk and only get 30 minute lunches, so I won’t be having weekday lunches with them for awhile.
Continuing onward with my lunch sagas, I had an awesome lunch (after I got all of Addy’s white hair off of my clothes) with Carla on Saturday at Max and Erma’s. We hadn’t seen each other for awhile (long enough for the bitch to lose 30 pounds and look even more fabulous than she normally does), and I had a real blast catching up.
good! you can do it! Just make sure your expectations are reasonable. It took us a year to lose 30 pounds. It’s actually not very healthy for you to lose more than a pound a week… so be slow and steady!
Hmmmm, most everything I read says you can lose up to 2.5 pounds a week safely.
I’m just happy to be exercising and starting to watch my diet for once. Well, not actually for once, but this time it I don’t feel like it’s a burden. The weight falling off is just a nice side benefit. (Oh fuck it — yes, I’d love to drop the 50 pounds in a week if I could, but I’m more than happy to let it fall off at the rate that it wants to).
