Nice Mammals

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - A pod of dolphins circled protectively round a group of New Zealand swimmers to fend off an attack by a great white shark, media reported on Tuesday.

Apparently dolphins don’t keep up on world events — I rather doubt that they’d bother saving humans if they did. Then again, maybe they’re simply just not as cynical as I.
Are you kidding me?! If I were a dolphin, the last thing I would do is swimming around some random human being in order to try to protect it from the shark! First of all, I know damn well that the shark would have to eat me or one of my dolphin buds in order to get to the human. Secondly, have you ever seen humans swimming around a dolphin in order to protect it? I think not.
