What an X-cellent day!

There’s a certain degree of irony in removing ants from ones kitchen with a “Fresh Pine Scent” bug spray. Instant death for them and warm memories of being back in Oregon for me.
Had lunch w/ Kellie today at that Greek/Italian restaurant kitty-corner from Mt. Trashmore. A bit of a dive, but not a bad place — for Gyros, anyways. Catching up with Kellie, I told her that Rico and I went to dinner at d’Mustard the other night. The food was great, the place was DEAD (which was a real bonus because the last time I was there (oddly enough, with Kellie for lunch) it was standing-room only), but the bill came to ~$20.00, which I thought was too much for dogs+fries. Spending so much time bitching about the price of food lately as we paid for lunch today, neither Kellie nor I noticed that our lunch bill came to $31.00 for two Gyros/fries/soda. We yapped away as the waitress swiped our cards and brought us back the receipts to sign. It wasn’t until like 3pm that I got the random thought “gee, lunch was really expensive today”. Le Sigh
Rico’s working on his music, which makes me very happy.
Like computers are “what I do”, this is what he does, and he hasn’t done it nearly enough lately. I’m talking like .. nothing in the last month and a half. I really love it when he gets so excited and tries to explain music theory to me, which would be kinda like me explaining NFS mounts back to him. Actually, that’s an unfair analogy — he has Linux experience. Oh well, nobody said falling in love with a very well rounded man makes for easy analogies.
