THUNDERDOME

Jul 13th, 2004 by Jason

Having had an anti-broccoli stance that would make Stewie from the family guy proud, I’m hesitant to admit that report that not only did I eat some tonight and live, … I actually LIKED the taste! Jason (latin for crafty jew?) found a new trick: steam it fresh with a piece of bread in the bottom of the steamer. The bread absorbs 95% of the “broccoli is steaming” smell, which I attribute to my success tonight — I didn’t have proper advanced warning and was unable to get into my “broccoli sucks” ™ mood in time. :D

On another note, I had correspondance with the ex today. Normally I keep communication to a minimum — it’s just easier that way, but I needed his help. He’s a Naval optician, and my “eye condition” is to the point where I need to see a specialist, so I asked him if he could recommend any. He was kind enough to write back telling me basically “no”, and by the way, he was going to stop the paying me back on a personal loan between us (secured by a promissary note) because another creditor was going to be garnishing his wages. I wrote back, calling bullshit, to which he responsed by accusing me of giving him money over our two year relationship just “to keep him around”, inferring that he’s not obligated to pay me back (hello?? you signed a promissary note and have a history of repayment, both during and after the relationship). Anywho, this whole exchange has angered me to a level I haven’t been at for a very long time, and honestly — it’s kinda fun. I usually try to rationalize situations like this (like “what the fuck was I thinking?” .. “I should have seen this coming — it’s my fault”), but not today. FUCK YOU KSG! We had a deal, and you signed a promissary note. You can try to spin this as my fault if it makes you feel any better about yourself (why start being accountable for your actions now, right?), but just as a heads up, have you noticed that you are continuing to move thru life learning absolutely nothing from your past? How does it feel to have your car repossessed? How does it feel to have creditors garnishing your paychecks? That’s gotta suck, considering you’ve had two pay raises this year and no longer have to make a car payment anymore. Your boyfriend lives with you now, so you’re rent/utilities are now half of what they used to be. Yeah, sounds like a real cash crisis around your place. Oh, this right, you go out for dinner every night, get new ExpressMEN outfits monthly, and have to buy drinks every weekend when your boyfriend’s up on stage. WHAT SUCKS THE MOST ABOUT YOU IS THAT YOU THINK THAT YOU DESERVE THE PRIVILEGES OF LIFE WHEN YOU HAVE DONE ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY NOTHING TO DESERVE THEM. How you think you can have all of this shit with no additional effort on your part while the rest of your coworkers manage it by working full-time in the NAVY and then full-time at a second job is … simply illogical. You’re a lazy mother fucker. Just know that for once, I’m going to stand up for myself, so if you’re expecting me to roll-over on this deal, guess again buddy.
