Q: When is ‘#1 Chinese Buffet’ not a cliche?
A: When it’s the one by our house! This bad-boy just opened a few weeks ago, so we decided to check it out tonight. The place is HUGE, has a obscenely large kick-ass chandelier shimmering over the buffets, recessed lighting that casts a nice rainbow effect around the whole joint, … and FRIED FROGLEGS! This place TRUELY is #1.
Later at home, feeling guilty for eating two plates when I was actually full half-way thru the first, I took JAK for a walk. The cool think about JAK is that his normal trot is quite fast, which makes you actually execise to keep up with him. The bad thing about JAK is that when he’s tired, he simply stops walking and lays down. Not so great when you’re two miles from home. 
Very cool that you found a new chinese place…at least you have an animal that you can take out and enjoy the fresh air with unlike my cat…
the trick to chinese is to have small portions of lots of things. Portion control! Like today, I went to Ollie’s on 67th and Broadway, and I got this enormous bowl of soup which would have been large for a dinner. So rather than eating all of it, I ate all of it and had dumplings too.
